About Our Studio
The Academy of Classical Ballet and Modern Dances is a school for those who love music and dance. We emphasize the development of the creative spirit and of a strong work ethic as well as a positive body image in a professional, family atmosphere. All of this is ensured by our commitment to offering individual attention to each of our dancers.
The school's syllabus is rooted in the classical tradition but is broadened to include contemporary dance forms such as modern, jazz, hip hop to ensure that the dancers are well-rounded.
The Academy produces two annual performances on the stage of the Capitol Theatre that include all of the Academy's students, thus allows all of our students the benefit of performing on stage in a beautiful theatre. The Christmas performance is held mi-December (Nutcracker), while the end-of-year shows (Gala, Variations, and Celebrations) is held mid-June. Both shows are created to offer a professional-caliber show, with amateur and pre-professional dancers, and feature original choreographies in classical and contemporary Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Stepdance and Acro.

Experienced Teachers
Our professional and experienced teachers provide fun, yet challenging, classes in an enthusiastic learning environment. We work on strong technical skills while nurturing the artistry in each student. With our expertise, we are able to support students who would like to attend professional dance schools or post-secondary dance institutions and pursue a career in the performing arts.
Friendly
Friendly office staff are available to answer questions and assist you. Our teachers are approachable and want the very best for our dancers! We encourage great communication! Our dance families create a warm and welcoming studio environment, and there is a wonderful sense of community at ACBMD!

We offer a large variety of dance styles to choose from: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Acro!
We provide dance classes for ALL ages, including Pre-schoolers, Beginner Teens & Adults.

Facilities
Our Facilities are clean, open spaces with professional Dance flooring. Large rooms with high-end sound equipment. The studios and waiting areas are clean and well-kept to offer all our clients a welcome environment. A video display of the classes on the TVs located in the waiting area / lobby, we welcome our parents to view their children’s progress from this area.
