Suzanne Bourque

Director and teacher

Suzanne is the founder and director of the Academy of Classical Ballet and Modern Dances and the Artistic Director of its annual Nutcracker production at the Capitol Theatre. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in the Arts, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Education from the Université de Moncton and teaches English and French as a foreign language at l'école L'Odyssée. She has been working professionally in the region, as a dancer and choreographer, for over twenty years. She worked on numerous productions in the region, as choreographer and/or dancer, such as The Pail Frailness of Moths (Cameron MacMaster Contemporary Dance Company), Variations & Celebrations (A.B.C.), L'oiseau (Nisha Kumar), Je t'aime (oratorio composed by Richard Gibson on poems written by Raymond Guy LeBlanc), Le mythe du masque à Ray and The Great Big Mosquito Show by Marshfire People's Theatre Company. She also worked closely with the Université de Moncton's Music Department's Operatic productions for many years. For the past four years she has worked as a choreographer for the Capitol Theatre and Tutta Musica's musical theatre productions of The Sound of Music, Oliver, Mary Poppins and Beauty and the Beast.

Mélanie Saintil

Administrative assistante

Mélanie started working at the Academy in 2016. Previously, she worked as an administrative assistant at AFANB for a period of 6 years and at Conseil Economique du Nouveau-Brunswick as accounting clerk for a period of 8 years. After having the opportunity to work with business people and with seniors, she now has the chance to work with youth at the Academy. She is a dedicated and committed person. Her two daughters, Melina and Lujvrania, have been dancing at the Academy for over 14 years and 8 years respectively.
